![]() ![]() These stages are definitely in my Top 5 levelsets for the new trilogy. The music just bolsters the entire feel of the level. The things that they were able to do with new lighting technology just blows my mind when I see it on an old classic level. the prehistoric levelset hasn't previously been one of my favorites, but the remastering of it is absolutely perfect. Tomb Time is also solid not perfect to the point of the medieval levels, but really very good.Īnd Bone Yard. Hang' Em High is solid, although the remastered music track is lacking the same punch that the original had. Makin' Waves was probably the most problematic level of the bunch, largely because the jet ski doesn't seem to control in the same way the original one did I found it a lot more difficult to control on the ramps. The underwater levels are gorgeous, as are The Great Wall of China levels. The medieval levels are just spot-on in every possible way, like to the point where my nit-picky brain cannot nit-pick a single thing about them. On VV's end, the 10 levels I have played of Warped is probably the best part of the remastering I've seen so far. Of course, the large amount of vehicles is a bit of a gripe, and if I could make one change to the game I would have replaced the plane levels with two platformer levels (perhaps in Ancient Rome?) and also replaced one of the motorbike levels with another underwater level, because oh my God those are great. It's just an incredibly polished game from top to bottom, and proof that Naughty Dog knew exactly how to craft the perfect Crash game by the time they got to 3. For a game that is admittedly way too easy, the environments, music, characters, and boss battles are all so fantastic. Alright, just finished Dingodile in Warped, so here's my update:
